About Us

Formed in 1999, the Avoca branch was the one of the first banks to join Bendigo Bank in its Community Banking model. Avoca was followed by Maryborough and an agency in St Arnaud, and Avoca District Co-operative Limited was formed to manage all three sites.

Our mission is to help build strong, connected and vibrant communities in Avoca, Maryborough and St Arnaud. The Bendigo Bank’s Community Bank model is supports this with a 'profit-with-purpose' philosophy, which means profits are returned directly to the local community that has generated them.

To date, over $1.5m has been returned to our communities. Together with our partners, we will create further opportunities to grow our business, forge strong and meaningful relationships and share the benefits of our success with all of our stakeholders.  Our branches are valuable assets within our communities, and we have a clear vision for their future.  We are leading the way as one of the ‘Better Big Banks’ in regional Victoria.
