About the Division

The team is responsible for delivering a multi-year program of work that builds on foundational lending capability, introduces digitisation and automation and enhances operating models. Doing this allows us to move toward our vision to deliver an exceptional lending experience for our customers, partners and staff which continues to innovate to meet their needs, while supporting business aspirations.

About the role

We’re going through an exciting time at the bank, our technology is transforming, and you can be a part of that. Join our Enterprise Lending Transformation department as a Business Analyst to ensure that business processes and business objectives are translated into business requirements to deliver desired business outcomes.

You will use your skills to work through business problems and elicit business requirements through techniques like “5 why’s”, business requirements workshops and process mapping among other methods and gather a deep understanding of current and future business requirements.

There are multiple opportunities available for an Business Analyst to join the Lending Enterprise Capabilities stream and collaborate with key members of the business and SMEs to deliver transformation initiatives such as Digital Acceptance and a new Delegated Lending Authority platform at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Perform research and interviews and business workshops to determine business requirements and then translate requirements into user stories
  • Analyse, facilitate, model, and organise information to reconcile conflicts, elicit requirements and distinguish solution ideas from business needs
  • Assist and support business Change Management activities
  • Support the delivery of initiatives by helping project teams meet schedule, business and budget objectives
  • Provide leadership assistance to other analysts in planning, analysis, and execution of plans
  • Identify, investigate, problem solve and deliver on continuous improvement opportunities

About you:

  • End to end business analysis skills: process mapping, process re-engineering, workshop facilitation and improvement techniques (e.g TQM, Six Sigma, Lean)
  • Proven experience in Business Banking, Lending/Brokerage specifically highly advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate and build relationships at all levels
  • Prior experience working across the Lending Value Chain – Specifically within a Digital Acceptance environment is advantageous
  • Proven ability to document business requirements
  • Strong understanding of all project lifecycle aspects
  • Advanced PC skills (Visio, Microsoft word, excel, PowerPoint)
  • Have an Agile mindset and value Agile principles and practices
