About the team

The Compliance Delivery Team sits within the Service Management and Group Support Practice within Technology & Transformation. We focus on delivering Risk, Audit, Legislative and Industry obligations for the Risk & Compliance Charter often with senior leadership exposure to ensure we meet all obligations on time for the Bank.

We have a few Business Analyst roles available that ideally you would have exposure to some of the following portfolio themes:

• Finance, Treasury or regulatory reporting
• Financial Crimes Risk
• Operational Risk and/or remediations
• Legislative obligations

About the role

We are transforming and you can join us to make a real impact on how we do things at the Bank.  You will report to the Delivery Owner, Risk and Compliance within the Service Management and Group Support Practice. You will get the opportunity to work across large enterprise-wide Risk & compliance projects often uplifting and modernizing the way we do things.  You will be responsible for interpreting business and regulatory needs and ensuring business processes and objectives are translated into business requirements and supporting Technology and Business process change to deliver desired outcomes.

Key accountabilities include:

• Support delivery of the project from business case to implementation by liaising with a range of stakeholders to refine high level scope and objectives to define functional and non-functional requirements
• Facilitate workshops and project meetings with stakeholders
• Perform research and interviews to determine business needs and translate them into Epics and User Stories which include Acceptance Criteria. This may also require mapping processes to enable a uniform approach for the Bank.
• Formalise business requirements into a Business Requirements Document for sign-off as well as any other documentation required for audit trail purposes
• Identify opportunities for automation, re-use of existing capabilities and removal of inefficient delivery both in Business and Technology
• Enable the initiatives to meet schedule, business, and budget objectives

About you

You will have experience working in a Business Analyst capacity with the ability to gather, document and translate requirements.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Understanding of both waterfall and agile principles, values and practices, including defining requirements, writing Epics and User Stories and managing delivery workflow in Jira/Confluence
• We will leverage your unique skills, but our preference is that you will have subject matter knowledge in the areas mentioned above such as Remediations, Operational Risk, compliance with legislative obligations etc.
• Proven ability to document requirements and map processes
• You’ll have exceptional interpersonal skills which you use to build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and effectively influence across the organisation and projects
• Advanced PC skills (Visio, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience with Cloud based technologies would be desirable
