About the role

With your region covering the Melbourne metro area, initially you will have the rewarding challenge of setting up your targeted commercial broker network: tell our story to bring the right Brokers on board; educate them on our policy, processes, value proposition and suite of products; support them through the accreditation process.

This opportunity will then see you managing your portfolio with a focus on proactively servicing your brokers to drive growth within your commercial loan portfolio.    You will develop and maintain strong working relationships with our aggregator partners and accredited brokers as well as internal stakeholders to ensure the best solution is delivered to our brokers and customers.

A regular day will include relationship building, problem solving, broker education and work-shopping complex scenarios. You’ll facilitate webinars, attend and present at PD days, conferences and other marketing and training opportunities.

This is a full time, permanent position, based in our Docklands office with flexible work options available. 

 


The ideal candidate…

…will be an experienced Commercial BDM and/or Commercial Relationship Manager with a strong network of relationships within the broker industry, plus:

  • Proven ability to develop strong internal and external relationships and establish self as a trusted advisor to both staff and Brokers/Aggregators
  • Detailed knowledge of the Commercial/SME lending market
  • Strong financial analysis skills and understanding of commercial credit
  • Proactive approach to business development
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present with influence to a large audience
  • A solution-based mind set, with the ability to work with all levels of internal and external stakeholders to achieve outcomes
