About the role

Bendigo Bank’s Business division has resourced our teams to ensure we can provide the high level of service and face to face relationships that our customers are looking for - and that gives us our competitive advantage.

Known internally as a Middle Market Manager, in this role you will manage a commercial portfolio, with leanings toward cashflow and property customers and complex lending ranging from $1 - $10 + million.  You will benefit from a strong NPS and trusted brand and will be connected with a really strong network of branches and community banks which are well respected and strongly engaged with the communities they serve. 

Key to your success will be:

  • Relationship Building: Relationships are central to our customer value proposition, and you will use your own strengths in this area form strong networks with local industry, business and community groups and collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, including our company and Community Bank Branches
  • Your approach to driving growth:  Develop and implement your own localised plans.  Lead key initiatives and host events that optimise our profile and growth prospects in the local community.  Identify opportunities for deepening customer relationships

This is a full time, permanent position based in our Docklands office with flexible work options.  You will become part of a team who work extremely well together, sharing expertise and workflow.

  • Experienced lender with highly developed business lending and credit analysis skills and the ability to deliver appropriate financial solutions
  • Success in managing diverse and complex loan portfolios of Business customers
  • Proven and proactive track record of business development
  • Strong relationship management skills – stakeholders, customers and local community
  • Passion for mentoring and coaching others
  • Significant knowledge of the SME market
