Rural Bank Operations division and are looking for a Customer Transactions Officer to join our Operations Team in Adelaide. This is a 12-month opportunity at this stage, however there is a genuine likelihood of extension.

The role of the Customer & Transactions team is to provide a high level of customer service and administrative transaction support to customers of the Bank directly, or through Sales stakeholders. . The team also manages customer support via both inbound and outbound call services

Reporting to the Team Manager Customer & Transactions, the Customer Transaction Officer is primarily responsible for the establishment, drawdown and ongoing maintenance of the bank’s loan and deposit assets along with the processing of financial value transactions on customers’ accounts.

The principal objectives of the role focuses on the following activities:

  • Timely and accurate processing of tasks across all functions of the team
  • Customer support through the inbound call services offered
  • Apply initiative, judgement and problem-solving skills in the execution of these duties
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with Sales, Distribution and Branch Network staff
  • Maintaining a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders

Experience & Qualification requirements:

  • Experience in an Operations team environment
  • Experience in financial or banking environment
  • An understanding of the Agribusiness environment would be desirable but not essential
  • AFS Tier 2 accreditation (Financial Services Reform Act) desirable
  • Computer skills in applications and business systems.
