Within this Centre of Excellence sit the Group website and User Experience team, proactive and data driven to build our organisational maturity in the use of digital channels and new technologies.

We currently have a 12-month fixed term contract opportunity for a Digital Optimisation Specialist that has genuine possibility of extension. Reporting into the Digital Product Manager you will deliver highly effective Everyday Banking digital products and services. Leveraging strong data and insights to lead, create, and deliver an optimisation roadmap through effective storytelling.

Collaborating cross functionally to realise the full capability of the Everyday Banking portfolio of digital products. Working closely with various business stakeholders, you will measure, track, and interpret online behaviour to identify opportunities for improving sales and the customer experience.

You will drive and evolve the optimisation and personalisation strategy across digital assets. Facilitating and enabling inclusive and accessible design, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact and add value as you grow your career with us.

This role can be based in any of our main office locations: Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, or Bendigo for the days that you are in the office, and then other days you’ll be working from home to help better balance your life and work.


As the Digital Optimisation Specialist you will:

  • Work with stakeholders, Product Teams, and Digital Squads to prioritise, schedule, and resource the digital development pipeline
  • Write user stories for features and functionality
  • Collaborate with UX / UI teams, business, and development teams to validate user requirements and product improvements
  • Champion Conversion Rate Optimisation, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), WCAG accessibility, and internal search to drive business online
  • Analyse, design, and optimise sites applying a mixture of analytics and creativity with HTML & CSS programming
  • Continually hypothesise, test, and make recommendations to drive changes to content, the way we present our products, and our customer's online experience


To be successful in the role, you'll have:

  • A relevant tertiary degree in Marketing, Computer Science, or related discipline
  • Prior experience in a similar Digital Optimisation Specialist role within a large complex organisation
  • Demonstrated capabilities building and supporting websites within a Content Management Systems (Episerver or similar) and Google Analytics
  • Experience in Conversion Rate Optimisation, primary focusing on improving website and customer experiences to deliver growth
  • Ability to debug code and work with developers in optimising and executing functionality on websites
  • Advanced capability to think conceptually, demonstrated by the ability to consider events and information objectively and from multiple perspectives
  • Experience with HTML & CSS programming, CRO tools, JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft product suite, and Agile methodologies are all desirable but not mandatory
