About the Department

Group Financial Crime Risk helps to protect the Bank, our customers and the communities we serve from the impacts of financial crime. An integrated department in Group Risk, the function helps to design, oversee, deliver and champion the activities that occur across the Bank to manage the risk of financial crime.

Group Financial Crime Risk is responsible for delivering an overarching framework to manage the risk of financial crime, which includes advice and oversight across the Group, coupled with detection and intelligence led / data driven decision making within the function.

 

About the team and role

This role is accountable for the investigation of Financial Crimes and is a key role within the Fraud Operations function. The roles require candidates who are highly motivated, willing to learn and capable of contributing to continued development and refinement of the Fraud Operations and broader Financial Crime Risk team.

The position is casual, and shift may be weekday or weekends, additionally you will need to be highly flexible and available as required.  When commencing in the role, initially you will be required to work full-time from the office for 2-3 weeks as part of the training and development.

 

Experience, skills and capabilities

  • Demonstrated experience in dealing with a diverse spectrum of people in a range of working environments
  • An advanced level of computing skills, with particular reference to database, spreadsheet and analytical tools
  • High level of confidentiality and discretion is required
  • Capable of being self-managed and working under minimal supervision to deliver results
  • Ability to cope with varied workloads and priorities
  • Degree qualifications in relevant field or studies in progress
