The Income Funds form part of the Sandhurst Trustees Funds Management and is responsible for overseeing the portfolio management of the Sandhurst Common Funds and Income Funds. The Income Funds team includes two analysts, a loans manager and a portfolio manager, managing five funds ranging from cash to credit with over $2billion funds under management.      

About the role

As Investment Analyst and reporting to the Portfolio Manager - Income Funds, your focus will be providing analytical and administrative support to the Income Funds team and to work with the Investment Product team to ensure the smooth operation of the Income Funds and that they meet the needs of customers.  This opportunity provides exposure to a broad range of issues facing financial institutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare cashflow reporting to assist the management of short -term cash flow requirements
  • Prepare ongoing accurate reporting to support the Investment team and meet reporting requirements as well as develop and improve the reporting functions
  • Perform credit and market analysis to support investment decisions and existing and new product development
  • Assist with financial modelling and forecasting to support new business and product proposals
  • Administer trades in Quantum, update Bloomberg PORT information and complete necessary documentation to authorise the funding of various investments
  • Organise and chair monthly asset allocation and budget meetings.


About you

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, finance or economics desirable
  • Understanding of managed fund products, equities, credit and credit analysis is essential
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with experience in research and financial modelling
  • Advanced Excel skills are essential  
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Excellent time management with the ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines 
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proactive self- starter with the willingness to support others and meet desired business outcomes
