The Team

In our Local Banking division, our customers are at the forefront of everything we do, and the National Operations Team was formed to support the Retail Network to deliver expected business results. To achieve this, we will provide effective and efficient support, via a seamless approach encompassing one operation contact point for all enquiries.


Your role

The National Operations Team Member is a crucial role in the team supporting our internal and external customers with their international transaction needs. This diverse role will provide the successful applicant with an opportunity to gain a broad knowledge of the National Operations areas of operation, with the role supporting the key functions performed by the International & Retail Payments team.

Key functions of the role include providing back-office assistance to our Branch network and Stakeholders by processing international transactions and handling queries.

This is a Permanent Full-time position based in the Bendigo office.


Your knowledge & experience

  • Sound computer skills including proficient knowledge and use of Excel and other Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to understand financial products, transactions, and mathematical skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to liaise with customers, internal and external departments.
  • Good time management skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Able to take initiative and apply good judgement.
  • Sound analytical skills.
  • Ability to take responsibility and follow through on takes that may need resolution over an extended period.
  • Good understanding of retail banking is preferable
  • FSRA Tier 2 qualification (advantageous, not essential)
