About the role

Join our Technology & Transformation division, here you will be based in the team which supports our Customer & Data Enablement practice.  You will help drive the successful adoption of APIs and Microservices with a strong focus on the design, build and support of an API and Microservices platform within a hybrid-cloud environment.  It’s an exciting time to join us and be part of this large transformation, you’ll be working in an agile environment to bring real change and help enhance our services to our customers who are at the heart of what we do.

Responsibilities include:

  • End to end development - analysing, coding, testing and automation of the testing, deployment, and operational monitoring of your work.
  • Deliver full stack solutions using Web-based Apps, APIs and Microservices.
  • Delivering high quality technology solutions to create value for us and our customers.
  • Develop continuous delivery pipelines (DevOps, CI/CD environment).
  • Be part of a cross functional scrum team, sometime flexing up and down to play other roles in the team. 


About you

You will have a solid technical background/understanding of APIs, Microservices, Integration and Event-Driven Architectures.  And have familiarity with at least one modern programming language (Node.js, Typescript, Java, Python, etc).

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Familiarity of Cloud, Software Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering and a solid understanding of the practical use of emerging technologies
  • Experience and knowledge working with CI/CD pipeline
  • Experience with AWS (advantageous: Azure/Google Cloud), Kubernetes and Docker
  • Solid understanding of the UNIX/Linux operating systems
  • Desirable: Full Stack Applications, Containerised environments, micro-serviced architectures and understanding what enterprise architecture 'looks like' and why it should change.
