About the role

Delphi Bank currently have a great opportunity for a Consumer and SME Specialist. 

You will play a lead role in driving portfolio and lending growth, building deep customer relationships, delivering holistic solutions to meet customers' financial needs and consistently ensuring your customers are feeling the experience of belonging to Delphi Bank.

You will leverage a strong knowledge of portfolio management made predominantly of Home & Investment Loan customers and also have the opportunity to look after small business customers with lending needs up to $750k.

The core focus of the role is to drive lending growth through sales and customer acquisition strategies whilst maintaining quality referral partner relationships. You will achieve this through:

  • Identifying opportunities for deepening customer relationships and referring business opportunities while partnering with the Senior Relationship Manager and Area Manager to implement approaches to support improved customer experience and advocacy.
  • Achieving individual sales targets and contributing to team sales targets.  Actively participating in and supporting business development activities that optimise our profile and growth prospects in the local region.

Located at our busy Oakleigh Branch, this is a full time, permanent position with flexible work options. To grow in our niche market with opportunity to raise your profile as a Banker you will need to have availability to attend events outside of core business hours when required.

  • Aligned with our brand, our ideal candidate will have a general understanding of the Hellenic culture to strengthen your ties with the local community.  The ability to speak the Greek language is highly regarded
  • You have demonstrated sales success engaging prospective customers and can tailor your marketing strategy to suit your customers.  You can proudly and confidently tell our story and share our point of difference. You love to get out and about and engage with your local community in order to grow your network, increase brand awareness and drive lending growth.  This could be through building quality referral partner relationships, organising events, home loan/small business related workshops and activities both in branch and in the community, attending external events and use of social media
  • You have sales experience with home/investment loan customers with a good appreciation of lending products, policies and processes and ideally you also have some exposure with small business lending.  Whilst there will be a Relationship Officer to support with credit writing and manage the approvals and both pre- and post-settlement activity, you will be someone with the ability to analyse and interpret financial data, write a credit paper, and be hands on across the end-to-end lending process
  • You treat your portfolio and customers like it is your own business and support your customers with a holistic approach: not just someone who can get their lending done, but someone who is a specialist they turn to for advice and guidance on how to achieve their goals
