About the role

As a Relationship Officer (RO) you will play an important role in managing the lending portfolio of your business unit. Your role focuses on supporting our relationship team maintaining and growing of our customer base. The core focus is driving lending growth by actively supporting your team and assisting customers in reaching their financial goals. You will leverage your knowledge of portfolio management and consumer and business lending to ensure the effective management the lending portfolio of your business unit. Your broad knowledge of Bank products and services will enable you to actively support the relationship team to implement strategies for customer acquisition and retention, ultimately working to meet the business unit targets.

You can be based from the South Yarra office or the Docklands office and we support a hybrid working model. So one or two days per week in the office is required.

About you

You will be reporting directly to the Senior Relationship Manager to provide an outstanding customer experience. Other areas of experience and knowledge that will help you succeed in this role includes:

  • Strong understanding of banking products (lending, credit)
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of bank policies and regulations
  • Sound knowledge of financial analysis and demonstrated ability to solve complex problems
  • Ability to understand and interpret financial statements
  • Demonstrated track record of building and maintaining customer relationship and service excellence

We are looking for someone with experience in the banking environment, not necessarily business banking. We would consider those who are currently in a branch based role or phone based lending role who is looking for a bit more indepth and rounded experience for their banking career.
