Financial Control provides strategic and specialised financial services to the Group through the following teams: Finance Operations, Statutory Reporting and Program Management (the Funds)

About the role

As Senior Fund Accountant and reporting to Senior Financial Accountant your focus is to provide unit pricing and accounting services for the Sandhurst Common Funds and Managed Funds.

Key accountabilities include:

• Maintenance and recording of data within accounting systems.
• Establishment and documentation of accounting and record keeping processes.
• Completion of bank and general ledger reconciliations.
• Calculation of daily unit prices.
• Preparation of quarterly, half-yearly and annual Fund distributions.
• Preparation of financial reporting, including Financial Statements

About you

To be successful you will have:

• Qualified accountant and or demonstrated experience of fund accounting for managed funds
• Working knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, taxation legislation relating to Managed Investment Schemes and Corporations Act.
• Working knowledge of sourcing various market prices of equities, fixed income of etfs i.e Bloomberg, prices from fund’s websites, emails for Fund Managers
• Knowledge of corporate actions, equity dividends, fixed income calculations and incorporating  in until pricing
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to work with and assist a range of stakeholders
• Strong time management skill with the ability to prioritise
• High level of problem-solving skills
• Advanced capability with Excel and other Microsoft applications
