As a Senior Business Relationship Manager you will work in a specific geographic region, partner with Business Banking and Consumer lenders to provide quality banking services and help grow businesses. As an experienced banker and a passionate sales professional, you will manage a portfolio of specialist customers, prospect for new business opportunities within the Chinese and/or Korean communities, and maintain exemplary customer service. You will work closely with Regional Managers and branches to attract and retain by visiting customers, focusing on bringing business development and delivering win-win solutions.

 

In this dynamic and high-impact role, you’ll make your mark by:

  • Manage a commercial portfolio and complex lending ranging up to $25 million TAE.
  • Develop strong specialist networks with local Chinese or Korean industry, business and community groups and implement localised plans to raise the profile of yourself and the Bank in the community.
  • Connect with your customers through quality conversations to design and deliver innovative, holistic and needs-based solutions. 
  • Build deep and lasting relationships.  Acquire new customers. Maintain credit and portfolio quality.
  • Identify and lead business development activities that optimise our profile and growth prospects in the local region.
  • Connect with a large network of company and Community Bank Branches who are well respected and strongly engaged with the communities they serve. 
  • Form partnership relationships with branch managers, coach and lead education of Branch teams and Business Support teams, build trusted relationships with Credit Risk.

 

This is a full-time role based in Sydney. Hybrid ways of working are core to how we operate today.

 

What you’ll bring to the role

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in business, finance or a related discipline
  • The ability to undertake travel and possession of a current driver license
  • Fluent in either Mandarin or Korean, both oral and written

 

We would also love you to have:

  • Demonstrated expertise in business lending and credit risk principles
  • Financial analysis skills, including the ability to analyse and interpret financial statements
  • Up-to-date knowledge of business banking market conditions, products, cash flows and markets
  • The ability to think outside the square to develop innovative, customer-centric solutions
