“It begins at Bendigo Bank”

We’ve never been ‘just a bank’. Just like you should never be ‘just an employee’. We’re united in our belief that in banking, better can be bigger, and together we’re making it happen.

It starts here. With Bendigo Bank… and you.

About the opportunity

This newly created role within our Technology and Transformation division, which is charged with the transformation of our business and the running of our technology systems.  Reporting into the Program Director as part of Enterprise Delivery – our project delivery team for BEN – our project delivery team responsible for “turning our strategy into reality” through quality, customer focussed end-to-end delivery.

As a Senior Project Manager, you are responsible for the end-to-end planning and execution of a large initiative or a complex stream as part of a transformation program and deliver solutions and customer experiences that make a positive difference.  If building capability, fostering collaboration, and shaping a thriving community are your passions, you belong here.

In this role you’ll get to…

  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders and managing multiple streams of work with a number of external suppliers to execute on the vision of the initiative.

  • Take an Enterprise view and make sure we don’t waste money on things that don’t make a positive difference. You constantly ask, “How does this move the dial?”

  • Partner with business, strategy, and technology leaders to turn an Initiative into an executable plan, based on facts / evidence and firm commitments.

  • You have a bias for action and influence to drive decision making that moves us forward, transparently and with pace. You always know who has the decision-making rights and how to make sure decisions stick and are not continually relitigated.

  • Motivate your delivery team to reach new heights, through active coaching, mentoring and feedback that helps others learn and grow.

What you’ll bring to the role

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Knowledge of large-scale program and project management practices which include application of the appropriate project management methodologies.

  •  Excellent project delivery capabilities from initiation to post implementation.

  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to solve complex business problems and achieve ‘cut through’ by turning decisions into action.

  • Experience and comfort with the Atlassian suite.

  • Experience with HR/Finance systems transformation

  • Previous experience leading cross functional / matrix teams and building delivery teams from initiation.

We’re making better, bigger. And we’ll get there with you
