  • Full Time
  • Closing at: Jun 17 2025 - 17:00 AEST

We’ve never been ‘just a bank’. Just like you should never be ‘just an employee’. We’re united in our belief that in banking, better can be bigger, and together we’re making it happen.

It starts here. With Bendigo Bank… and you.

Bendigo Bank exists to feed into the prosperity of our customers and community, not off it. We know that as a bank we will only be successful if we focus first on the success of our customers, our people, communities, partners, suppliers, and shareholders.

Up is part of the Bendigo Bank family and has completely changed the digital banking landscape in Australia.

As the Digital division continues to scale up, an experienced Strategic Senior HR Business Partner (internal title of Senior People Partner) is sought to partner with Xavier Shay, Chief Digital Officer and the leadership team as they embark on this next exciting stage of growth and innovation.

As a member of the new People, Strategy and Capability function, you will report to the Head of Organisation Design and Workforce Partnering, collaborate with experienced Senior People Partners, as well as work hand in hand with the Head of People and Culture at Up. Embedding yourself within the business, you’ll play a critical role in designing and implementing the workforce strategy, driving talent and succession planning for critical roles, building leader capability, and delivering on a variety of strategic workforce planning projects.

You’ll have a substantial interest in the digital realm, be passionate about all things people and culture, and bring positive energy to the team. Complex problem-solving skills, curiosity, and ability to challenge the status quo as well as be 2 steps ahead in solving for talent or workforce planning opportunities will also see you thrive in the role.

Based at the 271 Collins Street office in the Melbourne CBD, we offer flexible work options that put our people first, and a hybrid model that requires you to attend the office at least 60% of your time.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Strategic thinking and ability to translate business strategy into a people plan
  • Significant capability in driving talent management initiatives, including succession planning and addressing talent gaps
  • Expert technical HR capabilities in strategic HR practices
  • Experience in fast paced, complex and high growth environments
  • Demonstrated partnership and influencing skills at an executive C-suite level
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in human resource management, or similar related discipline

So, why work with us?

  • Want big impact that matters? Here, you’ll know your work directly benefits the customers and communities we all serve.
  • Want to be more than just a number? Join a team that truly values you – and that gets more and more diverse every day.
  • Want career opportunity AND flexibility? Achieve both here, where we know that balance and progression go hand in hand.

You’ll also get access to a great range of benefits, including:

    • Hybrid work? Flexible hours? A compressed work week? Our flexible work options are designed to suit your life.
    • Health and wellbeing support, including discounted gym memberships, private health insurance options, and our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you and your immediate family members.

We’re making better, bigger. And we’ll get there with you.
