You’ll love the good you can do here.  Demonstrated ability to take data management theoretical (policies, frameworks and standards) and implement them in partnership with the business will be essential to success.

Part of the Finance Division, Group Reporting creates a Centre of Excellence for our stakeholders (from across all divisions) that provides access to trusted and value add Business Intelligence capability that enables data driven operational and strategic decisions making.

 

The Senior Manager Data Capability will:

  • work across Finance with Senior Business Leaders (Data Custodians) to uplift our data management practices, improve the usage and accuracy of data to better inform operational, strategic decisions and be a key conduit to Data Custodians outside Finance to help inform requirements where Finance are a consumer of data.
  • be responsible for developing a prioritised and sequenced roadmap and implementation plan that will unlock incremental value and demonstrate an uplift in Finances data governance maturity. You will lead the execution activities and work across functional teams, leveraging a virtual team that will collectively implement this plan.
  • be responsible for defining and measuring success and reporting on value delivered and uplift in maturity across the division

This is a permanent full-time position. We offer flexible work options that put our people first, and a hybrid model of minimum three days per week based out of our Melbourne, Adelaide, Bendigo, Brisbane or Sydney corporate office.

 

What you’ll bring to the role

To succeed in this role, we’d love you to have:

  • Solid experience in a Data Analyst, Data Quality or Data Governance role
  • Ability to provide leadership to project teams and collaborate with business stakeholders to develop solutions that deliver business value and insight
  • Ability to generate a productive team environment and co-ordinate resources across different areas to achieve results.
  • Experience of data warehousing concepts and techniques, querying relational databases and business intelligence tools.
  • Demonstrated experience with using or configuring Collibra or similar Data Governance tools
  • Strong skills in verbal and written communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement
  • A practical approach to resolving issues focusing on delivering timely benefits to the organisation.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline or equivalent experience
