Part of the Finance Division, Group Reporting creates a Centre of Excellence for our stakeholders (from across all divisions) that provides access to trusted and value add Business Intelligence capability that enables data driven operational and strategic decisions making.

 

The Data Capability Analyst will:

  • support the implementation and change required to uplift business maturity in data management practices, including but not limited to Data Quality, Governance and Security. They will support the identification of opportunities for data improvements, working with senior leaders, business units and technology practices to embed and facilitate the adoption of processes and tools.
  • be a trusted expert in their domain, championing data integrity and usage.
  • collaborate actively with diverse stakeholders including technology teams, risk & compliance partners, business owners and Data Custodians & Stewards.
  • be responsible for identifying synergies across our data demand to accelerate time to value/insight and opportunities for improvement, driving continuous enhancement of systems and processes that leverage data to ultimately support the Bank's strategic goals and maintain a secure, compliant, and customer-centric environment.
  • work with Finance Data Custodians and Senior business leaders, who determine the relative importance and value of the opportunities and the order in which they should be addressed

This is a permanent full-time position. We offer flexible work options that put our people first, and a hybrid model of minimum three days per week based out of our Melbourne, Adelaide, Bendigo, Brisbane or Sydney corporate office.

 

What you’ll bring to the role

To succeed in this role, we’d love you to have:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a Data Analyst, Data Quality or Data Governance role
  • Experience of data warehousing concepts and techniques, querying relational databases and business intelligence tools.
  • Demonstrated experience with using or configuring Collibra or similar Data Governance tools
  • Strong skills in verbal and written communication, and stakeholder engagement
  • Excellent time management skills, including the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead process administration/coordination or issues management activities
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline or equivalent experience
