About the opportunity

Join our AI Centre of Excellence in Enterprise Analytics as we continue to grow our AI capability and move into an exciting chapter at the Bank. You will join a growing and collaborative team who support artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives.

You will the opportunity to work across a range of exciting work which will support and directly impact the Bank’s outcomes by exploring available data, applying analytical and data mining techniques to connect and uncover actionable insight, solve complex business problems and answer business questions.

In this role you’ll get to…

  • Be at the forefront of AI innovation at Bendigo Bank's AI Centre of Excellence (including GenAI, RAAG and Agentic solutions).
  •  Design and build predictive ML models to understand and solve business problems (e.g. Next Best Conversation, Fraud Prediction, Cross Sell).
  • Monitor model performance post-deployment and retrain as needed (statistical monitoring and stakeholder feedback).
  • Leverage deep statistical expertise to test hypothesis raised by business (e.g. cause and effect, segmentation).
  • Define clear data science opportunities from business engagement.
  • Develop data-driven solutions and communicate findings clearly and concisely.

What you’ll bring to the role

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role working with AI and Machine Learning.
  • Experience bringing together and applying statistical methods to analyse data.
  • The ability to adapt analytical insight to communicate findings appropriate for the audience.
  • Outcome focused, with an eye for leveraging technology to enable customer and business value.
  • Demonstrated experience with analytics programming languages such as Python.
  • Database query experience such as SQL Server, Oracle and NoSQL.
  • Experience with Machine Learning software (desirable). E.g. SparkML, TensorFlow.
  • Experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud.
