Join the FCR Advisory team on this permanent position which will give you exposure to working in a 2LOD role in the niche area of Financial Crime Risk.

The team bring a combination of Financial Crime Risk & broad Operational Risk Management knowledge and expertise.  To see success in the role you’ll have the ability to operate effectively a 2LOD environment.

The 2nd Line of Defence have ownership of the design and operation of the risk management framework and the extent to which it is fit-for-purpose to enable the business to manage risk.  Setting the rules which are to be applied consistently across the organisation and are designed to ensure compliance or manage/reduce risk.

 

 

About the role

As an Officer FCR Advisory you’ll make an impact by supporting:

  • the delivery of financial crime advice and second line oversight and challenge to the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Group.
  • the Head of FCR Advisory, the role is required to support the delivery of assurance reviews on the performance of the Group’s financial crime control environment, as well as support and advise the business on policy and legislative requirements for financial crime.
  • the delivery of insights and reporting to business stakeholders and divisional risk committees and assist the performance of risk assessments in the business and
  • Conducting Operational Risk Event assessment, breach evaluation, regulatory reporting, oversight of remediation plans and assurance reviews.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Demonstrated skill in providing advice and support to financial institutions in financial crime.
  • Knowledge of relevant financial crime legislative requirements, industry codes and practices, including the Australian AML/CTF Act.
  • Second line of defence experience within the banking or financial services industry in the capacity of operational risk, regulatory risk, financial crime governance and/or advisory services.
  • Experience in supporting the delivery of financial crime reviews, management information and other reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience building and managing relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including senior management.
  • Ability to collaborate and influence to drive decision making and outcomes.
  • Ability to communicate complex subject matter in a way that is easily understood in both formal written reports and verbally in presentations.
  • You can self-manage and work independently; effectively prioritising and managing your workload.
