We’ve never been ‘just a bank’. Just like you should never be ‘just an employee’. We’re united in our belief that in banking, better can be bigger, and together we’re making it happen.

It starts here. With Bendigo Bank… and you.

Bendigo Bank exists to feed into the prosperity of our customers and community. We know that as a bank we will only be successful if we focus first on the success of our customers, our people, communities, partners, suppliers, and shareholders.

Within the Bank’s Brand, Marketing, and Communications (BMC) division, our Internal Communications team delivers engaging and impactful employee communications that drive our strategy forward. Working closely with leaders across the Bank to build understanding, pride, and advocacy, the team uses data and analytics to inform their approach and deliver best-practice communications. We currently have a new Communications Advisor opportunity to join the team reporting into a Senior Communications Manager supporting our customer divisions.

You'll play a key role in supporting our Senior Communications Manager and Communications Manager to deliver exceptional internal communications across the Bank. You will help develop internal communications that foster a culture of transparency, engagement, and alignment with our strategy and values. You'll develop communications plans and bring them to life, creating engaging content for everything from leader briefings and emails to intranet stories, Viva Engage posts, presentations, and virtual events. You'll craft compelling weekly newsletters and ensure our messages are consistent and aligned to the Bank’s strategy. Collaboration is key, so you’ll work closely with leaders, subject matter experts across the Bank, and the wider BMC team.

You’ll be part of an engaged and supportive Internal Communications team that are incredibly passionate and work collaboratively to drive engagement. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career, contribute to a large-scale organisation, and make a real difference.

This role can be based in Adelaide, Bendigo, or Melbourne. We offer flexible work options that put our people first, and a hybrid model with a minimum requirement of 60% of your time per week in the office.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications or related discipline
  • Demonstrated previous success in an internal communications role
  • Excellent writing skills with a proven ability to deliver high-impact communications for diverse audiences
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft suite and experience with AI tools is highly desirable
  • Well-developed stakeholder engagement skills

So, why work with us?

  • Want big impact that matters? Here, you’ll know your work directly benefits the customers and communities we all serve.
  • Want to be more than just a number? Join a team that truly values you – and that gets more and more diverse every day.
  • Want career opportunity AND flexibility? Achieve both here, where we know that balance and progression go hand in hand.

You’ll also get access to a great range of benefits, including:

    • Hybrid work? Flexible hours? A compressed work week? Our flexible work options are designed to suit your life.
    • Health and wellbeing support, including discounted gym memberships, private health insurance options, and our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you and your immediate family members.

We’re making better, bigger. And we’ll get there with you.
