About the opportunity..
Based within our Enterprise Testing and Integrated Environments & Release Service you will be part of initiatives which will shape the Banks future offerings to our customers. This role will be a part of delivering quality outcomes by leading quality engineering delivery teams, providing input to strategies, accurately planning, preparing, executing, and reporting the testing of systems and applications prior to production deployment.
You will have the opportunity to work with the newest technologies, lead and mentor others whilst also having access to industry learning and development platforms, plus the opportunity to attain certifications in cloud technologies.
In this role you’ll get to…
Provide and implement technical and thought leadership on manual and automation test frameworks, test standards, quality engineering tools, techniques and processes, to colleagues working within cross-functional teams, other quality engineering personnel, Service Owners, Delivery Owners and Project Managers.
Apply knowledge of CD-CI and automation frameworks to shift left and optimise test coverage, create and maintain reusable artefacts, and reduce defect leakage throughout the SLDC with an automation first approach.
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand delivery requirements and determine the appropriate test approach and test coverage based on the scope and nature of change. Identify environment, service virtualisation, and data requirements for testing activities.
Proactively manage risk; meet all policy and compliance requirements; perform controls; adhere to Process and Procedures pertinent to role; and escalate events, issues, or breaches as they are identified.
Contribute to the testing capability through capture and sharing of knowledge, the uplift of policies, processes, standards, and frameworks of Enterprise Testing Environments & Release Competencies.
What you’ll bring to the role
To be successful in the role you will have:
Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in use of testing tools and technology including qTest (must be certified), Tosca (must be certified), Jira, Confluence, Microsoft365, REST Assured, Postman, SQL, MongoDB, AWS, GCP, Control-M, OpenText Service Virtualisation.
Proficiency in Payments domain business processes and technology. E.g. Core banking systems (mainframe), NPP, Siebel CRM, BPM, Cuscal, Swift, RSA, Automated Payment Processing, Case Management, Digital Banking, PayTo, batch processing.
Ability to perform static analysis on requirements, ensuring they are compliant with our Enterprise Delivery Framework (experience in BDD and TDD preferred).
Ability to build and/or maintain and evangelise Automation and to mentor/train others in Automation concepts, tools, frameworks and languages.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively inform all levels of management and stakeholders.
Track record of business acumen-based judgment, reasoning and strategic decision-making, with strong risk management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
