About the opportunity
This role sits within our Account Processing team, who have the primary responsibility for processing real time, event driven and batch account transactions within agreed time limits.
You will be responsible for ensuring that business requirements are effectively translated into technology solutions to deliver the desired business outcomes. Working with technology team members to map, analyse, and document business processes and requirements and translate them into detailed business requirements; epics and user stories that form the basis for the design of solutions for delivery of business outcomes. You will also use your business knowledge in technology to define functional solutions to given business problems in technological terms.
In this role you’ll get to…
Perform research and interviews to determine business requirements and then translate into functional specifications for technical stories or epics.
Translate requirements into user stories and add all the details required by developers; this includes ‘technical’ details such as non-functional requirements etc.
Help the project meet schedule, business, and budget objectives
Focus on the people side of change in systems and technology, processes, job roles and skills, as well as organizational structures
Draft and distribute project communications or support Organisation Change management where necessary
Support and facilitate the User Acceptance Testing phase
Assist the scrum master in running agile processes – backlog grooming, sprint planning, retros.
What you’ll bring to the role
To be successful in the role you will have:
Business analysis experience including experience with Business Process Reengineering / improvement techniques e.g. TQM, Six Sigma, Lean.
Advanced PC skills across Visio, Microsoft word, excel, PowerPoint, and project.
Solid knowledge of relevant technology concepts including cloud, API, microservices and relevant legacy technologies i.e. mainframe, client-server, relational databases, and web-based architectures.
Must have a solid working knowledge of Business Intelligence concepts in reporting, querying software, OLAP, spreadsheets, dashboards, and data mining
Experience with working within and agile environment
Strong communication skills, including prioritizing, problem solving and interpersonal relationship building
