We're seeking a highly motivated Assistant Healthcare Specialist to play a pivotal role in supporting our unique client base across the Healthcare portfolio.

This exciting Associate-level position demands a self-starter with excellent communication and relationship-building skills, who thrives in a complex environment as part of a specialised performance driven team.

Imagine working across diverse sectors: healthcare, supporting retirement living and aged care. You’ll be participating in the lending process and contribute to deepening customer relationships.

In this dynamic and high-impact role, you’ll make your mark by:

  • Loan Administration - This includes tasks like financial and credit analysis, preparing credit submissions, coordinating settlements, managing documentation, and instructing solicitors and valuers. Accuracy and attention to detail are crucial.
  • Customer Relationships - be responsible for consistently meeting customer needs, proactively identifying suitable banking products, and building rapport with healthcare professionals to gain deeper insights into client requirements.
  • Business Performance - You'll support profitable growth by adhering to risk guidelines, ensuring fee collection, and managing expenses. Meeting lending targets and maintaining a strong understanding of bank products and services are also vital.

What you’ll bring to the role

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in commerce, finance, property, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in business banking (1-3 years) is highly desirable.

We would also love you to demonstrate:

  • A thorough knowledge of bank internal systems and processes particularly as it relates to commercial banking.
  • You'll need financial analysis skills, including interpreting financial statements and cash flow forecasting.
  • Ideally exposure to the end-to-end lending process for commercial clients would be beneficial.
  • Proven ability to forge strong client relationships, resulting in increased business and client retention.
  • A focus on continuous professional development while you learn and grow under experienced mentors and leadership.
