We’ve never been ‘just a bank’. Just like you should never be ‘just an employee’. We’re united in our belief that in banking, better can be bigger, and together we’re making it happen.

It starts here. With Bendigo Bank… and you.

Bendigo Bank exists to feed into the prosperity of our customers and community, not off it. We know that as a bank we will only be successful if we focus first on the success of our customers, our people, communities, partners, suppliers, and shareholders.

Within Group Marketing our Brand, Media and Content team focus on brand strategy, campaign management, content, social media, creative design, copywriting and media strategy. Creating and delivering compelling content and stories that encourage customers to bank with us.

We currently have a 12-month fixed term opportunity for a Social and Content Specialist to join the team on a part time basis for 4 days per week. Reporting into the Manager Content & Social Engagement you’ll get to work across the organisation with a broad range of subject matter experts, as well as with external partners to create content to tell the Bank’s unique story via social media channels.

No two days will be the same as you source ideas for content, write and edit material, film and produce videos with our in-house studio team as well as with external partners, and post across our social media platforms. You’ll be able to combine your in depth understanding of social media with your passion for content production, strong writing and editing skills, and excellent stakeholder management. You’ll have creative freedom to explore your ideas for content to engage our customers while supporting our retail network to amplify their impact in the community via storytelling.

You’ll be part of an engaged, creative, supportive team of marketing experts that are incredibly passionate about sharing our unique story. This is a key role where you’ll have genuine opportunity to do impactful work and be valued for your inspired contributions.

This role can be based in either Melbourne or Bendigo. We offer flexible work options that put our people first, and a hybrid model with a minimum requirement of 40% of your time per week in the office, increasing to 60% as of July 2025.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in journalism, marketing, communication, or similar related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience managing social media and content across all platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, TikTok)
  • Well developed stakeholder management and relationship building skills to source stories and content
  • Significant capabilities with content creation across copywriting and editing, AI powered content generation, image and video editing, and creative concepts
  • Experience with lo-fi video editing including Reels using programs such as CapCut and Canva
  • Expert knowledge utilising social measurement platforms - scheduling and monitoring platforms such as Sprout Social
  • Experience with Canva or similar for static assets

So, why work with us?

Want big impact that matters? Here, you’ll know your work directly benefits the customers and communities we all serve.

Want to be more than just a number? Join a team that truly values you – and that gets more and more diverse every day.
