Are you ready to make a significant impact in Queensland's thriving agribusiness community?

Drive the Future of Agribusiness

Bendigo Bank is on a mission to become Australia's bank of choice, and our Agribusiness and Business Banking division is a cornerstone of that success. We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Business Development Manager (BDM) with deep agribusiness expertise to energize our third-party channel and drive growth throughout Queensland.

This isn't just a job; it's a chance to build something special. You will be the vital link between the bank and our key broker partners, championing our financial solutions and helping rural and commercial clients achieve their goals. If you are motivated by challenge, impact, and achievement, we want to hear from you!

What your impact will be:

  • Forge Powerful Partnerships: Build and nurture strong, lasting relationships with accredited brokers, aggregators, and key industry partners.
  • Drive Strategic Growth: Develop and execute a winning sales plan for the Queensland market, generating a robust sales pipeline and achieving ambitious business targets.
  • Be the Expert: Educate our partners on Bendigo's unique credit appetite and product offerings, empowering them to present "winning" solutions for their clients.
  • Champion the Customer: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver holistic and innovative financial solutions that make a real difference to our rural clients.
  • Shape the Future: Act as a key influencer, providing market intelligence and leveraging your expertise to help shape business decisions and drive our expansion in the third-party market.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Deep Agribusiness Knowledge: A strong understanding of rural banking and the unique needs of agribusiness customers is essential.
  • Proven Sales Success: A minimum of 3 years in a Business Development role, backed by at least 10 years of experience in the financial services industry.
  • Exceptional Relationship Skills: A natural ability to build trust, influence senior stakeholders, and create effective external and internal networks.
  • Commercial Acumen: A strategic mindset with the ability to identify opportunities, manage commission negotiations, and drive profitable growth.
  • Energy and Passion: A genuine passion for the agricultural sector and a drive to challenge the status quo, move fast, and deliver outstanding results.
