Come and be part of our second line oversight and provide strategic advice regarding Compliance requirements. You’ll love the good you can do here to support to the business to drive sound compliance practice.

 

Known internally as Compliance Frameworks Manager in our 2 LOD Division, you’ll be key in oversighting the Group’s compliance with privacy laws and is responsible for the monitoring and review of the end-to-end compliance lifecycle including compliance breaches, privacy impact assessments, compliance monitoring, second line compliance plans and regulatory change. 

 

This role will also be providing compliance advice and challenging the business in how they identify and manage compliance obligations, incidents, and risks.

 

Beyond your expert understanding of Privacy Act and Regulations we’re seeking to see how you promote behaviours that foster a good risk and compliance culture; support the business to drive sound compliance practice, promote continuous maturity and build a reputation as a trusted advisor with internal, external stakeholders and regulators.

This is a permanent full-time position ideally located in Melbourne, Bendigo or Adelaide.

What you’ll bring to the role

To succeed in this role, we’d love you to have:

  • Expert understanding of Privacy Act and Regulations to the Australian banking and finance industry
  • Relevant industry, legal, compliance and/or risk management experience for the seniority of the role
  • Sound understanding of operational risk management, particularly relating to regulatory compliance
  • Sound knowledge of AS ISO 37301:2021
  • Knowledge of current compliance trends and topical issues within the financial services industry
  • Highly developed oral and written communication (including report writing) and presentation skills
  • Ability to work under broad direction, deal with competing demands, manage multiple initiatives and effectively manage expectations of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment
