We're seeking a highly motivated Corporate Credit Analyst to join our team. The role demands a candidate with a strong understanding of financial and credit analysis within the business banking sector. The role is pivotal in supporting our corporate banking portfolio supporting large Commercial, Corporate and Institutional clients.

This exciting position demands a self-starter with excellent communication and relationship-building skills, who thrives in a complex environment as part of a performance driven team.

In this dynamic and high-impact role, you’ll make your mark by:

  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring timely responses to all queries.
  • Loan Administration: Manage the entire loan lifecycle, from application to settlement, including comprehensive financial and credit analysis, cash flow forecasting, credit submission preparation, and meticulous file management.
  • Business Performance: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of our product suite. Actively participate in professional development opportunities.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders (including customers, solicitors, valuers etc.), ensuring seamless collaboration and maximising portfolio growth opportunities. Influence effectively within the team.
  • Risk & Credit Management: Maintain the highest standards of credit management, adhering to Bank policy and guidelines. Proactive identification and escalation of non-compliance issues is expected. You will conduct thorough analysis of financial statements, cash flows and feasibility studies.

 

What you’ll bring to the role

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in commerce, finance, management, law, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in business or corporate banking (1-3 years) is highly desirable.

 

We would also love you to demonstrate:

  • A thorough knowledge of bank internal systems and processes particularly as it relates to business banking.
  • You'll need financial analysis skills, including interpreting financial statements and basic financial modelling.
  • Proven ability to forge strong client relationships, resulting in increased business and client retention.
  • Ideally some exposure to business or commercial lending would be essential.
  • Excellent report writing skills incorporating the ability to critically analyse data and articulate findings in a clear and concise manner, attention to detail and distils key points and supports conclusions with evidence and reasoning.
