Your role as Community Engagement Advisor will have a positive impact in your local community and in turn, the organisation, through aligning activities to the branch business plan and building a pipeline of new prospects and opportunities.   

In this dynamic and high-impact role, you’ll make your mark by:  

  • Immersing yourself within the local community. You’ll have a mind for networking and collaborations and will work with the board and branch management team to seek out, nurture and organise community relationships, partnerships and events  
  • Telling our stories. Through various channels, you’ll help spread the word and celebrate the work we do within the community 
  • Managing social media and local marketing activation. You will be responsible for creating and posting content and driving engagement through various social media platforms 
  • Being a lifelong learner. Bring your brilliant mind, and we’ll help you take your career to the next level with on-the-job training and other learning opportunities   
  • Building connections. A role at Bendigo Bank means supporting our customers, giving back and making our communities a better place… while having some fun along the way!    

 

This is a Permanent, Part-time position located in Hastings.
The roster is 30 hours per fortnight with flexibility required across Monday-Sunday for the right candidate.
The ability to occasionally attend community events outside of normal business hours is also a requirement of the role.

 

What you’ll bring to the role 

To succeed in this role, you’ll be a proud brand ambassador. We’d love you to have:  

  • An understanding and established connection with the local community 
  • Strong customer service and customer experience ethos 
  • Ability to drive and maintain effective working relationships and networks 
  • Effective communication skills to share our Community Bank story 
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills 
  • Experience in marketing and managing social media pages 
  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised 
  • Project or event management experience (desirable, but not essential) 
  • Confidence with technology and experience in digital platforms and creative/editing tools
