Reporting to the Head of Service Provider Risk, you will play a key support role in a high-performing team.

Your work will directly contribute to strengthening our risk controls, with a focus on our most critical partnerships, including those governed by CPS230. 

 

You will be a champion for our risk framework, ensuring its effectiveness through insightful reporting, administration, and education across the business. This is your opportunity to make a tangible impact on our operational resilience and help secure the future of the Bank. 

 

Your Impact: Driving Excellence 

As a Manager Service Provider Risk, you will be a subject matter expert and a key driver of our function's success. You will: 

  • Support the management and continuous improvement of the Service Provider Risk Framework, helping to drive a group-wide uplift in our risk culture. 
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the business, providing expert SME guidance, training, and tools to help stakeholders effectively manage service provider risk. 
  • Assist in developing and executing the annual 2LOD assurance plan, undertaking reviews to provide critical insights on risk maturity to the Board and Executive. 
  • Design and deliver insightful reporting and analytics on service provider risk for senior governance bodies, driving continuous improvement in our data-driven oversight. 
  • Manage the daily operations of the Group's service provider risk system, including providing essential user education, support, and communication.

This is a permanent position based out of our Melbourne, Bendigo, Adelaide or Sydney offices.

What youll bring to the role 

To thrive in this role, you are an accomplished risk professional with a passion for your field and a proactive, curious mindset. We are looking for: 

  • Solid Risk Foundations: You are a strong risk practitioner with 3+ years in financial services and 2+ years of experience in service provider risk, operational risk, assurance, or a related procurement/governance role. You have a solid knowledge of risk management frameworks and control environments.
  • Organisational & Administrative Mindset: You are highly organized and thrive on providing team oversight and support. You are adept at managing processes, supporting change initiatives, and ensuring the smooth operation of the function.
  • Exceptional Reporting & Communication: You have a talent for converting the 'complex to simple'. You bring demonstrated experience in preparing communication, education materials, and governance-level reporting, including dashboards for senior stakeholders.
  • Influential & Collaborative Spirit: You are a natural communicator who can apply a strategic lens to your work and influence stakeholders at all levels. You show initiative, apply a 'risk-first' lens, and build strong relationships to get things done.
  • Growth Mindset & Curiosity: Most importantly, you are curious, willing to learn, and eager to grow your career. You are a self-starter who can adapt to a fast-paced environment and see this as the start of a fulfilling career in second-line risk management.
