We currently have a full time Organisation Design Specialist position available for 12-months fixed term to assist with organisation design projects aligned to Bendigo Bank’s strategic business priorities.
You’ll lead and support significant workforce transformation activity for our people through end-to-end organisation design activity, including the analysis and development of operating structures (roles, decision mechanics, spans, etc) to support new operating models and project management of the people change experience.
You will partner with Executives, Senior Leaders, and the Organisation Design team to design and implement organisation design strategies to support transformation priorities (delivered via programs of work).
With a strong background in HR or change management, either in organisation design directly or as a HR business partner with a desire to specialise in this space, you’ll bring your expertise in the analysis and development of operating models, as well as a best practice approach for implementing people changes. Engaging, coaching, and influencing leaders is second nature to you as you partner with them to redesign operating models.

This role can be based in any of our main office locations: Adelaide, Bendigo, Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney. We offer flexible work options that put our people first, and a hybrid model with a minimum requirement of 60% of your time per week in the office.
As the Organisation Design Specialist you’ll get to:
Develop organisation designs that align with the Bank’s business and transformation strategies and the enterprise org design principles
Act as a subject matter expert providing thought leadership to the ongoing evolution of thinking, tools, and capability in organisation design
Work collaboratively across People & Culture to develop integrated implementation plans to ensure design elements are delivered eg: role profiles, PD’s, capability requirements
Identify people impacts arising from organisation design initiatives with the analysis of relevant business and enterprise workforce plans including focus on risks, talent, diversity, ER, inclusion etc
Manage workforce change through executing on org design strategies and ensure a best practice approach is taken by our People Leaders when they are implementing people changes.
Constructively challenge leaders to achieve optimum commercial outcomes through organisation design initiatives that deliver against known targets and cost imperatives
About you
To be successful in the role, you'll have:
A relevant tertiary degree in Human Resource Management , Business Management, or related discipline
Demonstrated experience in a similar role from within medium to large complex matrixed organisations
Proven capabilities in the execution of strategic and operational OD and change, with the ability to move between both strategy and execution
Proven project management experience
Strong facilitation skills to lead analysis and design workshops
Prior experience leading and influencing, particularly coaching and developing leaders
A flexible, reflective, and adaptable style with the ability to constructively challenge the status quo
