It starts here. With Bendigo Bank… and you.

We’ve never been ‘just a bank’. Just like you should never be ‘just an employee’. We’re united in our belief that in banking, better can be bigger, and together we’re making it happen.

Your role as a Regional Manager will be responsible for the overall performance of your region with a focus on building on the success of your retail team, and in turn, of Bendigo Bank in the area. A highly collaborative role, working in partnership with the state leadership team, Community Bank boards and other key stakeholders.

In this dynamic and high-impact role, you’ll make your mark by:

  • Coaching and developing leadership competencies in the branch leaders across your region.
  • Guiding our branch leaders to shape and enhance their strategies for optimising profitability, community connection and delivering an exceptional customer experience in alignment with the state strategic plan.
  • Overseeing performance and understanding the individual needs of your branches, which are made up of various sizes, maturity, structures and communities.
  • Being a lifelong learner. Bring your brilliant mind, and we’ll help you take your career to the next level with on-the-job training and other learning opportunities.
  • Building connections. A role at Bendigo Bank means supporting our customers, giving back and making our communities a better place… while having some fun along the way!

This is a permanent, full-time position located in the South West Gippsland region of Victoria, covering branches as far North as Drouin down to Wonthaggi and Foster, and as far West as Cowes, and Grantville across to Mirboo North and Toora (and those in-between). Travel in regional Victoria is required for this role.

What you’ll bring to the role

To succeed in this role, you’ll influence the growth and development of our branches and staff within our communities. We’d love you to have:

  • Proven sales leadership through implementing strategy to drive business
  • Effective and influential presentation and public speaking skills
  • Experience in building a strategic plan for the market
  • Strong relationship management with ability to effectively network and engage with your community and partners
  • Understanding of financial management, business acumen and risk framework
  • Experience in retail banking (essential)
  • Experience working with a board (desirable, but not essential)

So, why work with us?

  • Want big impact that matters? Here, you’ll know your work directly benefits the customers and communities we all serve.

  • Want to be more than just a number? Join a team that truly values you – and that gets more and more diverse, every day.
