Our Regulatory Reporting team is growing including a newly created Senior Manager Regulatory Reporting – Capital and Risk Operations (incl APS 330 / Pillar 3).  You’ll support the Head of Regulatory Reporting, work alongside 3 Senior Manager peers and lead a mid-sized team.  You’ll be responsible for components including:

• Ensure the team compile, prepare, review and lodge defined APRA Returns
• Ensure timely preparation and publication of APS 330 Public Disclosures (Pillar 3)
• Review and approve defined APRA Returns
• Ensure all reporting requirements are met within deadlines
• Ensure the team use, review and maintain consistent documentation for all regulatory reporting
• Ensure the team use, review and improve documented controls
• Collaborate with EFS and Financial Operations Function to ensure consistency across returns
• Support the Head of Regulatory Reporting and other stakeholders in continuous improvements in the Bank’s Capital processes
• Providing leadership and mentoring to the team, and across BEN in the ongoing development of best practice Regulatory Reporting practices and processes

What you’ll bring to the role

• At least 7 years’ experience in financial services, of which 5 are in regulatory reporting
• Demonstrated knowledge of Capital and Risk Returns and APS 330 Public Disclosures (Pillar 3) in the banking industry is essential
• Experience in leading a team of direct reports responsible for the completion of a large number of regulatory reports and public disclosures
• Ability to collaborate with key stakeholders to contribute towards the mission and vision of regulatory reporting
• Strong analytical skills to identify errors and discrepancies in regulatory reports
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, business, risk or related discipline
• Sound judgement, balancing a range of factors and priorities
• Sound judgement to assess priorities, risks and issues and make reasonable decisions
